Microperforated transverse vaginal septum: A case report.

Abstract
Transverse vaginal septum is a rare congenital anomaly of the vagina. A case of microperforated transverse vaginal septum in the upper third of the vagina and its management are presented. By the help of diagnostic tools, including saline infusion sonohysterography, magnetic resonance imaging hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, the precise location of septum was identifi ed. Simple septectomy through vaginal route was performed. We report the excision of transverse vaginal septum in a 23-year-old unmarried female, presented with severe dysmenorrhea, was followed by a return of normal menstruation.
