Abstract
A rare complication of hysterectomy, particularly if inappropriately done, is complete prolapse and inversion of vagina. This can occur whether the hysterectomy was abdominal or vaginal and cystocele and/or enterocele is often associated with this condition. The objectives of the surgery are to suspend the vaginal cuff securely and to ensure that vaginal function is retained. It is difficult to satisfy both these requirements simultaneously. Therefore a variety of abdominal, vaginal procedure have been devised. We experienced four cases who had repair of posthysterectomy vaginal vault polapse by combined abdominal vaginal procedure and report with brief review of literatures.
Key Words: Posthysterectomy vaginal vault prolapse
