Abstract |
Lipoleiomyoma of uterus is uncommon and is almost in variably benign. The histogenesis of this tumor is not clear. It usually occur in the corpus uteri as intramural growth. Histologically, it was mostly composed of mature fatty tissue intermingled with small amount of fibrous and smooth muscle components in an irregularly reticular pattern. A case of lipoleiomyoma of the uterus identified preoperatively by ultrasound and computed tomography and confirmed by pathologic finding is presented and reviewed. |
