Abstract
It is recognized that neonates born to women with low platelet count due to idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) have transient neonatal thrombocytopenia. Also, it is reviewed in many literatures that severity of neonatal outcome is associated with degree of maternal thrombocytopenia. Despite these known facts, we present a brief review of literature, with a case of neonate with severe thrombocytopenia delivered from woman who has ITP with normalized platelet count.
Key Words: Neonate, Thrombocytopenia, Idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura
