Abstract
Management of preterm premature rupture of the membranes (PPROM) represents confusing and controversial dilemmas at the time for terminating pregnancy in obstetrics today. After PPROM, immediate preterm delivery yields a low-birthweight infant and prematurity which increases neonatal morbidity and mortality but, expectant and interventional management for reducing complications related to prematurity increases the risk of infection for the mother and fetus. We present a case of successful delivery in a woman with second-trimester ruptured membranes.
Key Words: Preterm premature rupture of the membranes ( PPROM ), Expectant and interventional management
